Work-Trade at WILDNOW FARM

Our Project

In Spring 2024, we, Elise Trani 24' and Marley Rosen 24', ventured out to Eastern Washington for our senior project. We hoped to learn about permaculture, regenerative farming, and farming in conjunction with homesteading through hands-on experiences. We both worked hard in high school to carve time into our already busy schedules to develop our love of gardening and the outdoors. Our work-trade at Wildnow Farm not only offered extra hands during the busiest season on the farm, but also taught us key principles of regenerative farming as well as how to sustain a business that balances passion with community and family need.

Let's get down to BUSINESS

The work we did in Manson was two-fold. Our host Seth has two, interconnected businesses that he maintains and we helped him with both.

The first is Wildnow Farm, which he homesteaded with his family in 2011 and now offers an assortment of fruit and vegetables for the local CSA and farmer's market as well as wholesale customers.

The second is Chelan Valley Botanicals, a skincare and aromatherapy line established by Seth's mother and maintained by him and his family.
